The Coffs Harbour Bypass is part of the Pacific Highway Upgrade, funded by the Australian and NSW Governments. The 14km bypass, comprising of three tunnels and three interchanges, will take vehicles west of the urban area, from Englands Road in the South to Sapphire in the North.
TfNSW implemented an early works package in order to relocate the existing utilities prior to the Head Contractor mobilising to site in an effort to bring forward the overall project Completion date.
AS Engineering, in the role of the Principal’s Authorised Delegate and with a team of Project Managers and a Surveillance Officer, managed the delivery of $70M of these utility relocations under the GC21 contract framework.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Overseeing the relocation and installation of new utilities:
5.5km of DN500/450/300 trunk watermain
3.5km of 66kV subtransmission and 11kV high voltage power
5km of telecommunications optic fibre
Embedded within and working directly with the TfNSW team
GC21 contract administration
Digital engineering and optimisation of the design
Interfacing with the Head Contractor upon their mobilisation
